Okayo DST modular translation system is a cutting-edge solution tailored to every need: simultaneous interpreting, discussion panels, and audio description.
The use of hybrid interpreter stations excludes the need to use a separate receiver and transmitter for listening and transmitting the translation.
Multilingual router
The axis of the entire system is the LR-10 language router. The audio signal from the speaker is fed directly to the router and fed out to the transceiver stations for the interpreters. The same signal can also be sent to the local sound system for participants who know the language of the speaker. It is possible to connect two routers and arrange a large multilingual panel with up to 20 translators simultaneously.
Professional translator station
DST stationary transmitter for interpreters is a modern, digital transmitting and receiving device that allows simultaneous reception of speech and transmission of the translation to the meeting participants. But that’s not all! The DST transmitter paired with the LR-10 router enables the introduction of an „intermediate interpreter” who will use a private channel to translate the presentation for the second interpreter who does not know the speaker’s language. Next, the second interpreter receiving this signal will transmit the translation to the audience in the room.
Foolproof Okayo DST translation system configuration and personalization from your computer
The entire system can be easily configured by means of dedicated desktop software:
- Changing the channel number to the translation symbol, e.g., #01 => #EN, #02 => #DE
- Quick configuration of transmitter and receiver settings.
Thanks to this, the organizer will avoid the laborious process of entering separate manual settings for each device. - Simple and intuitive uploading of saved files to sets in bulk chargers.
Universal guest headsets (wireless receivers)
CON-9R is a premium receiver: top-quality brushed metal alloy housing paired with top quality sound. An additional option of connecting the receiver to the local sound system via Aux-Out.
OTG-200R – this receiver was designed specially for people with disabilities – the manufacturer has equipped it with an easy-to-read OLED display and a headphone jack HAC, as well as intuitive and large buttons for changing channels.
The manufacturer offers several types of wireless transmitters for receivers
- pocket with microphone socket
- two-way intercom with headphone-microphone connection
- wireless handheld microphone
They can be used as an element of a mobile translation system, wireless sound system or for guided tours.
Okayo DST Modular translation system – examples of application
Conference mode and/or hearing aid mode
The speaker microphone is connected directly to the DST transmitter, which can be routed to the local public address system. The signal can also be transmitted wirelessly to participants with wireless receivers (e.g., as a hearing aid system).
Direct simultaneous translation into one or more languages
The speaker microphone signal, e.g., in German, is fed to the LR-10 router.
Individual interpreters hear the original language (in our example – German) by means of the headphones connected to the DST transmitter and translate it into the required language such as English, Italian or French.
Translations with an indirect translator
If the speaker uses a rare language that merely one interpreter can speak, the other interpreters can hear the translation via their DST transmitters and translate it into another language for a group of participants in the room.
